I’m Ernest Lerma, a Mexican-American country artist born and raised in Phoenix. My music comes from real life, real moments, and real emotion. It’s country music rooted in honesty, grit, and soul, shaped by where I come from and how I grew up.

Growing Up in Phoenix

Phoenix raised me. The heat, the grind, the neighborhoods, and the cultures all shaped who I am. Growing up Mexican-American in Arizona gave me a perspective that naturally shows up in my music. Country music always spoke to me because it tells the truth. It doesn’t hide pain or joy. It just says it the way it is.

Music Found Me Early

Music wasn’t something I learned from a rulebook. It showed up naturally.At 8 years old, I started playing piano by ear. No sheet music. No lessons at first. Just listening, feeling, and letting sound guide me. That ability to feel music instead of forcing it has stayed with me ever since.

That early connection to music turned into a lifelong passion. Writing songs became a way to make sense of life, love, temptation, faith, and staying present through it all.

My Sound

My sound is modern country with emotion at the center. It’s honest, raw, and grounded. I make music for people who have lived a little, felt a lot, and know that the moment you’re in right now actually matters.
